Watchwall Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
Watchwall (“the app”) is a multi-view application for Google TV / Android TV, developed by Viper Softworks (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have.
We built Watchwall to collect as little as possible and to avoid identifying you personally. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location.
Information the app processes
1. Device and hardware information. To run your free trial and to help us support different TVs, the app sends basic device details to our server: manufacturer, model, device codename, hardware identifier, Android version, CPU, total memory, screen resolution, and the app version. This describes the device, not you personally.
2. A non-identifying device ID. To provide one free trial per device and to prevent abuse, the app derives a stable value from your device (the Android ID) and sends it to our server only as an irreversible, hashed value. We cannot reverse it or use it to learn who you are.
3. Trial and license status. Our server records when your trial began and its status, linked to the hashed device ID above, so the app knows whether your trial is active or expired, or whether you have purchased the unlock.
4. Network information. When the app contacts our server, the server receives your device’s IP address as a normal part of the internet connection and may use it briefly for security and abuse prevention (rate limiting). We do not use it to build a profile of you.
5. Purchases. If you buy the one-time unlock, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment; we receive only confirmation that a purchase exists for your device/Google account. We never receive or store your payment-card details or your email address.
6. App integrity (anti-fraud). To protect the trial from tampering, the app may use Google Play Integrity, which sends a security token to Google and to our server to confirm the app and device are genuine. This does not identify you.
7. On-device diagnostics. The app can display performance diagnostics (memory, CPU) inside its own Settings screen. These are generated and shown on your device; only the hardware subset described in (1) is sent to our server.
We do not use advertising identifiers, and the app contains no advertising.
Web content and third-party services
Watchwall lets you open and stream third-party websites and services — for example YouTube, streaming providers, and any web address you enter — inside the app’s built-in browser panels. When you use those services through Watchwall:
- Your activity, sign-ins, and anything you type go directly to those third parties, not to us. The app saves their sign-in cookies on your device so you stay logged in across sessions.
- Those services operate under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Please review them.
We do not collect your browsing history from these panels, and we do not sell any data.
How we use information
- To operate and enforce the free trial and the one-time unlock.
- To prevent trial abuse and fraud (hashed device ID, Play Integrity, rate limiting).
- To understand which TVs the app runs on, so we can improve compatibility and support.
Who we share information with
We share information only with:
- Google — Google Play Billing (purchases) and Google Play Integrity (anti-fraud), under Google’s privacy policy.
- Our own server, operated by Viper Softworks, for the trial and device information described above.
We do not share your information with any other third parties, except where required by law.
Data retention
We keep trial records (hashed device ID, device information, and trial/license status) for as long as needed to operate the trial and support the app. You may request deletion (see Contact).
Security
Information sent to our server travels over encrypted HTTPS. Device identifiers are stored only as irreversible hashes, and our server’s responses are cryptographically signed.
Children
Watchwall is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices and rights
- You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the app.
- You may request access to, or deletion of, the trial record associated with your device by contacting us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
